Here's the article:

Here's the list of products with the rating scale showing how much of this chemical they contain:

So, we have been using Johnson %26amp; Johnson Lavendar scented baby shampoo (3x per week) and the same brand/scent lotion everyday. I don't know if this article is hype or what, but maybe I should find new baby lotion/shampoo just in case? I was looking through the list of different products that show a 0 risk (Johsnons was a 5 if I remember correctly) and they are all brands I have never heard of. I live in the US (FL to be exact) does anyone know where I can pick up some baby lotion/shampoo that is phthalate-free?? I'm sure I can order some online, but I would like to find a local store (Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc.) Any tips? Ideas?

Thank you!! :)Baby Lotions %26amp; Shampoos FREE of Phthalates?
I've been using the Aveeno moisturizer/baby soap (it can be used with or without water) I think its rated 0 or 1. (I looked it up before)

That site is a bit hype and a bit truth. The thing with the J%26amp;J's Lavender that actually concerns me most is the potential linke between lavender and hormone disruption.

aveeno is a good name brand you can buy at walmart or target, though some of its baby products have high ratings, so check for the specific product before you buy. i've also seen california baby at target in the baby section.
I never buy ';name brands'; at box stores.........I only buy natural products at homeopathic stores. check your local phone directory
i know Burt's Bees is free of all that... i don't know how available it is in FL, i'm on the west coast, but it's all over the place here (grocery stores, Target, etc)

how the heck are they rating it?!?

on their website they say ';they are SLS-, phthalate- and paraben-free';.... so they must be rating it on something OTHER than phthalate concentration... interesting... http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stor鈥?/a>

edit: yeah, all the conflicting info! i'm looking for the same thing as you, something safe for baby but easy to find... it seems impossible!! i think i'll just use as little product as possible, and only when necessary!

the poster below me is onto something, Aveeno seems to have some good products and they're easy to find (at least here) well, their LOTION is good: http://cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php?鈥?/a>

California baby seems to have good products as well... but i've never seen them, myself... http://cosmeticsdatabase.com/wordsearch.鈥?/a>
