last night i didn't get in until later and i was to tired to get in the shower. i have a barbecue in about 3 hours and i don't want to wash my hair because it is really thick and takes a while to dry and it always frizzes after i wash it. i heard of dry shampoo but i don't have time to right now to buy some. i heard baby powder works to remove the excess oil. does it really work? and i have dark brown hair so will it make my hair look white or grayish? Can i use baby powder as a dry shampoo?
I don't suggest it because you have dark hair. If you can, go out and buy Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. It's colored so it looks natural.

The can looks like that. Can i use baby powder as a dry shampoo?
I do that all the time. Just sprinkle it at the roots, where it gets oiliest. For me its at the hairline and at my part. Then comb or brush through, and I sometimes turn my head upside down and just shake it through to get excess out. Also, make sure that at your part on top of your head, you don't have baby powder buildup on you scalp. It can look funny. Just wipe it off the scalp on that part. But yeah. I like it too because it lightens my dark roots a bit, but it wears off. Just comb through til you don't see it anymore.
It won't come out of your hair... your hair will look gray. Put dark colored powder foundation where your hair is greasy... it soaks up the excess oil and looks a lot better. Translucent might work too, but it will be lighter.
I don't reccommend no-water shampoo either... I tried the best rated waterless shampoos right after I broke my collarbone/had surgery on it, and they made it SUPER greasy and once I could get my hair washed again it took a lot of rounds of shampoo to get the greasyness of it out. My hair would've looked way better if I never tried them.
my cousin used to do that and yes it does remove some excess oil...
it works for a little while but i would recommend washing your hair the next day
Unless you want white stuff in your hair, don't do it.
yehh it does, but your hair will go white for a bit but its fine :) x
